Weight first. If he’s between two sizes, go up. Chest is measured round the widest part, just behind the front legs. Back is from the base of the neck to the base of the tail.

Using it safely

It’s made for walks and outings with you. Close both side zips before you set off, keep a hand near him the first few times, and take breaks on long days. It isn’t a car restraint, and it isn’t for pets over 9 kg. Never leave him zipped in on his own.

How it’s made

  • Openings for head and paws

His head sits out the top and his front paws can rest out the front, so he watches the world go by.

  • Zips on both sides

Open them, lower him in, zip up. No wrestling him through a hole.

  • Soft elastic top band

Hugs round his neck so he stays snug without anything pressing on his throat.

  • Adjustable shoulder straps

Pull them up so he rides high on your chest, close enough to kiss.

  • Mesh that breathes

Mesh side panels let the air through. The pink one is mesh all over, for warm days.

No pet scale? Weigh yourself, then weigh yourself holding him. The difference is his weight. Breeds vary, so the scale beats the breed list. Over 9 kg, this carrier isn’t for him.

Getting him used to it

The first ride is
ten minutes long.

Short and happy beats long and nervous. Most pets settle in after a few tries.

  1. Let him sniff it. Open on the floor, a treat inside. No zipping yet.
  2. Five minutes at home. Zip him in, walk round the house, treat, out.
  3. Once round the block. Straps snug, one hand near him.
  4. Now take him everywhere. Cafe, market, beach, the long walk.

Questions

How do I choose the size?

By weight. Weigh him, find his range in the size guide above, and if he sits between two sizes, go up. The chest and back measurements in the size guide under the button are there to double-check.

Does it work for cats?

Yes. Most cats sit in L, bigger cats in XL. Cats can take a little longer to settle, so keep the first rides short.

Can I use it in the car?

No. It’s a carrier for walking, not a car restraint. In the car he should be in a crate or clipped in with a proper harness.

How long can he ride in it?

Walks and outings, with breaks. On long or hot days, let him out for water and a stretch every so often. Never leave him zipped in on his own.

How do I clean it?

Hand wash in cool water with a mild soap and let it air dry. Skip the dryer.

What if he won’t settle in it?

Some pets just aren’t carrier pets. Send it back inside 30 days and we refund you in full.
