Size guide
Head34–46 cm13.4–18.1 inRound the head, just behind the ears
Muzzle15–23 cm5.9–9.1 inRound the muzzle, just below the eyes

Both in range? They fit. Not quite? 30 days to send them back. No tape measure: wrap a shoelace, mark it, measure it on a ruler. Flat-faced dogs (pug, French bulldog) have no bridge for goggles to sit on.

Will he actually wear them?

Most dogs refuse goggles the first time. Two minutes on, a treat, off again, three or four short goes, and most come round. Some never do, and then you send them back.

Head out.
Eyes open.

Day one is
two minutes long.

Most dogs refuse goggles the first time. That is normal. This works.

Clipping the chin strap of the goggles on a golden retriever
  1. Let him smell them. On the floor, not on his face. Treat.
  2. Two minutes, then off. Straps loose, treat, off again before he objects.
  3. Tighten on day three. Snug, not tight. A finger fits under each strap.
  4. Now use them. Short drive, window down.

Questions

Which dogs don’t fit?

Very large dogs (a malamute, a big shepherd) usually pass 46 cm round the head. Small flat-faced dogs have no bridge for goggles to sit on. Everything in between: measure, and the size guide above tells you.

Are they medical eye protection?

No. They handle wind, dust and glare. If something is already wrong with his eyes, see the vet.

Do they replace a harness in the car?

No. Goggles are not a restraint. A dog in a car should be clipped in, harness or crate, every time.

What are they made of?

Soft silicone frame with a padded edge, polycarbonate UV-tinted lens, two elastic straps with clips. 60 grams on the dog.

What if he never accepts them?

Some dogs don’t. Send them back inside 30 days and we refund you in full.

Thanks for the review, Scott. These goggles are one size, and the adjustable strap fits small to large dogs. If they're not sitting right on your pup, reply to your order email and we'll help you get the fit right, or sort out a return within 30 days.

“don't buy, cheap. soon as I put them on my dog the strap came through the open door they pushed it through as a strap holder on the glasses. this is because the slot is bigger then the strap they folded over and sewn to hold strap on place.. waste of money”

Reply from SolveItBro

Dane, thanks for being straight with us, and sorry they let you down. A strap that slips out of its holder isn't good enough. That's on us, not your dog. Reply to your order email and we'll make it right with a replacement or a full refund, whichever you prefer. You're covered by our 30-day returns.
