It is half past five and already dark. You are doing the walk anyway, and the only part of him you can actually see is the leash disappearing into the shadows.

This harness has a strip of light running around its edges. Press the button on the back and the whole outline of the harness glows in its colour — blue, red or green — across the park, down the street, at the far end of the yard at ten at night when he has decided he is not coming in.

You find him by the glow instead of by calling his name ten times.

Sizing · no tape measure

Which size is he?

Medium dog or large dog — that is the whole choice. If you want to be sure, measure around his chest just behind the front legs.

M 55–65 cm
Medium dogs: Cocker Spaniel and dogs that size · chest 21.5–25.5 in
3065100 cm
L 66–98 cm
Large dogs: Border Collie, Aussie, Lab, Golden, Shepherd · chest 26–38.5 in
3065100 cm
Somewhere in between
Go with L. Every strap on it tightens; none of them get longer.
Small dogs
It starts at medium dogs (chest from 55 cm). Beagles, Frenchies and smaller breeds will usually be under it.

Not sure? Order anyway and try it on him.

Wrong size? Tell us and we send the other size free. You also have 30 days: if it still does not work for him, we refund you — no argument, no restocking fee. We would rather refund a harness than have him walking in one that rubs.

Shipping, honestly

5–13days

Most orders arrive in 5 to 13 days, tracked. It ships from overseas, so it takes a little longer than things sent from inside the US. If yours passes two weeks, email us and we will chase it or replace it.

The honest bit

Seen is not the same as safe
The light makes him easy to spot. It does not make a road safe. Keep him on a leash near traffic, light or no light.
No battery number from us
We have not run one down with a stopwatch, so we are not going to print a figure. Charge it before the evening walk and check the four dots.
The cable
The factory packing list says one harness and nothing else. Plan on using a USB-C cable you already have.
Water
We have no water rating for it. Rain on a walk is one thing; a swim in the lake with it switched on is another.
Why it lights up

From November, the evening walk happens in the dark.

The clocks go back on the first Sunday of November. After that, the walk after work is a walk at night for most of the country — and a dog in a dark harness is the first thing the night swallows.

On the street

You can see him from the corner

A dark coat at dusk is the first thing to disappear. A line of light along his back is the last.

In the yard

He is the glowing thing by the fence

He went out, he went quiet, and he is somewhere past the porch light. Now you know exactly where.

Lights off

Still a proper harness

Padded chest panel, a grab handle on the back, a ring for the leash. In daylight it does the job of the harness he already has.

Before the first walk

Five minutes of setup, once.

Do this in daylight, at home, with a treat in your pocket. After that it is button, leash, door.

1

Measure his chest

Around the widest part, just behind the front legs. Pick the size from the chart above; if he is between two, go up.

2

Charge it

USB-C, the same cable most phones use. The four dots on the back tell you how full it is.

3

Fit it with the light off

Neck strap first, chest strap second. Snug, not tight — two fingers should slide under each one.

4

Switch on at the door

Press the button on the back, clip the leash to the ring, go. If he is suspicious of new things, let him sniff it switched on before it goes on him.

If any of it turns out wrong for your dog — the size, the fit, the light — the 30 days are there for exactly that.
