Day one is two minutes long
- Let him sniff it. On the floor, not on his head. Treat. That is the whole first session.
- Ears through, cord loose. One ear through each hole, treat, and off again before he starts pawing at it. Once a day.
- Snug the cord on day three. Slide the toggle up until it sits under his chin. A finger should still fit underneath.
- Now take the photo. Beach, park, café. He forgets it is there somewhere around the second treat.

The honest bit

- Up to about 10 kg (22 lb). A beagle, a big frenchie or anything larger will not fit, and we will not pretend otherwise.
- It's a hat, not sunscreen
- The brim keeps some glare off his eyes and the sun off the top of his head. It does not make a hot afternoon safe — walk him early or late, same as you would without it.
- Go slow on day one
- Most dogs come round after three or four short goes with treats. A few simply won't, and if he is one of them, send it back inside 30 days.
- Customs
- Import duties are rare on an order this size, but if customs does inspect a parcel, any charge is the buyer's.
